This challenge seeks technological solutions that allow obtaining copper grade in the mineral at the following points:

• Bucket / Shovel or loader to CAEX
• Belt crushed to stockpile.
• Stacker feeding belt.
• Dry mineral belt flotation, pulp concentrate and tailings.
• Rubble belt to dump.

Currently Minera Zaldívar has a mixed production process for obtaining copper, which has a secondary sulphide leaching stage and, in parallel, a flotation of fines from a mineral classification before the pile construction stage.

The mineralogical characterization shows that minerals of the secondary sulfide type and subordinately copper oxides are processed, with the majority presence of chalcosine> covelin and brocanthite> chrysocolla, respectively. In the future, the processing of primary sulfides with the presence of chalcopyrite> bornite is considered.

The production process of this company does not currently have instrumentation to obtain "hard data" and online of the mineral grade at any point of the process (mine, piles, flotation, dump and dam) being relevant information for balance reconciliation metallurgists, block models and short and medium term planning.
