Open pit mining at Compañía Minera Teck CDA considers loading the material on the work fronts and subsequently transporting and unloading it at the different predefined destination points such as crushing plants, dynamic stocks and walls of the tailings deposit.
Although the noise emissions generated in these operations are below the maximum allowed, Teck CDA is interested in further reducing the current levels given its proximity to populated centers in the Andacollo district.
Objective and scope
Identify technological solutions that allow reducing the noise level generated both in the loading operations of high tonnage extraction trucks (CAEX) using shovels and loaders as well as in the unloading of the material at the destination points.
