Phibion Welcomes Jacques Janse as New CEO

Phibion, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jacques Janse as Chief Executive Officer of Phibion, effective 4th May 2021.

Mr Janse holds a bachelors degree in Electric and Electronic Engineering and brings a deep and wide range of experience in METS and mining solutions. His impressive career spans over 30 years including Vice President of Hexagon Mining, Chief Executive Officer at Blast Movement Technologies and Chief Operations Officer at GroundProbe.

David Smirk, company founder and director, said; “We are excited to have someone of the calibre of Jacques on board and we welcome him to the Phibion family. 

Jacques’ experience and knowledge in growing a small METS company into a global brand will drive the Company’s growth and international expansion strategies”. Mr Smirk will continue to focus on the company’s technology and commercial opportunities in his new role as Chief Commercial Officer. Mr Smirk has also been appointed to the Phibion Board of Directors.
