National METS Survey 2020

The National METS Survey assesses the contribution of the METS sector to the Australian economy and provides an important update on its size, scope and key capabilities.

The 2020 survey also provides insights on innovation drivers, partnerships and collaboration, international market activity, current challenges and the impacts of the global COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 619 companies participated in the survey.

Austmine previously conducted National METS Surveys in 2013 and 2015, and the 2020 survey builds on this work to provide a point of comparison on how the sector has grown and changed.

A special thanks to BHP and METS Ignited who contributed to the funding of the survey, as well as to other METS stakeholders and associations across the country who helped expand its reach and relevance.
