Glencore Nickel CEO Leadership Luncheon

Join Austmine on Thursday 25th February for our CEO Leadership Luncheon with Wayne Ashworth, Head of Nickel Assets, Glencore Nickel in Perth.

Wayne joins us to discuss emerging opportunities in the nickel market at a time where global demand for the commodity is increasing steadily and Australia continues to emerge as a global leader in this space.

Glencore is a leading producer and marketer of nickel, with assets in Australia, Canada and Europe. They produce some of the world’s purest nickel and are also one of the largest recyclers and processors of nickel-bearing materials, including batteries.

In Australia, Glencore (Minara Resources) wholly own the Murrin Murrin nickel and cobalt operations located about 880km east of Perth in the north-eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia. The operation uses conventional open-pit mining methods to extract nickel and cobalt ore, before processing and refining of the laterite ore is undertaken at their complex hydrometallurgical facility.

Wayne is an experienced industry leader in the nickel market and has driven performance across Glencore’s nickel operations in Australia and New Caledonia.

Join this event to:

  • Hear from Wayne about the pathway forward for Glencore’s nickel operations
  • Understand the current and emerging markets for nickel and the opportunities arising from this
  • Network with an executive-level audience of METS leaders
