Hastings Technology Metals is a leading ASX-listed Australian exploration and development company currently concentrating its efforts on two rare earths projects in Western Australia. Rare earths are critical in the manufacture of a wide variety of new consumer and industrial technologies such as hybrid cars and wind turbines.
The Yangibana Project is a significant Australian rare earths project, containing substantial Neodymium and Praseodymium resources. The project currently covers approximately 650 square kilometres and is located in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia, some 250 km north east of Carnarvon.

General Manager - Engineering / Operations Readiness, Hastings Technology Metals
Nick Holthouse is the General Manager for Engineering and Operational Readiness for Hastings for the past 3 years and has over thirty years’ industry experience in surface and underground mining operations. Nick holds qualifications in Mining Engineering and Surveying and has over that time achieved operational experience in commodities such as gold, uranium, coal and base metals. His areas of expertise include the construction, commissioning and operation of mines and process plants in remote regions.
Prior to joining Hastings, Nick spent time in Indonesia with a corporate role at Merdeka Mining in Project development and operational and project construction roles with Finders Resources at the Wetar Copper Project. Four years in a consulting role as Principal Mining Engineer and Manager of the mining department at CSA Global’s Perth office and 4 years in the Philippines with Rusina Mining European Nickel.
