Fuelled by rising commodity prices and increased demand for critical minerals, South Australia has seen a surge in mining investment in 2021. This has led to further exploration across the state and advancements of key projects as they approach development.
Rex Minerals is one of South Australia's most exciting up and coming copper and gold developers and their Hillside project is attracting interest as a world-class asset. The Hillside project is located on the mid-eastern coast of the Yorke Peninsula, West of Adelaide, and is planned as an open pit mine with a concentrator. The mine life is 13 years and over that time it will produce 468,000 tonnes of copper and 339,000 ounces of gold in concentrate.
At this event, Richard Laufmann, CEO & Managing Director of Rex Minerals will discuss the pathway forward for the Hillside project, detailing the design and development approach and key infrastructure and supply requirements. He will also explore the growth potential of copper and gold mining in South Australia and the drivers of increased demand for these key commodities.
