The STEM METS Career Pathway Program has been developed by Austmine with support from METS Ignited to showcase METS career opportunities available to University STEM students through offering paid internships.
This webinar will provide information about the program and provide an opportunity to hear from the companies offering the internships. There will also be opportunity for Q&A.
The Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) sector is an exciting and challenging career opportunity. As the adoption of digital mining technologies accelerates, Australia is leading the world in improving mining from identification of ore, through to mining methods, processing, logistics, safety and environmental solutions. METS has a growing need for high quality STEM graduates.
The program is designed to provide students with on-the-job experience, mentoring and soft skills training for a successful STEM career in the METS sector, through a ten-week paid internship at an Austmine member company.
What does the program include?
- A paid 10 – week internship
- Online training Events
- A student membership to Austmine for 12 months
- Access to a dedicated STEM Careers in METS LinkedIn Group
- Ongoing support from Austmine throughout your internship
