The opening webinar will provide insights and information about the importance of ESG from the perspective of three major stakeholders in the mining industry – mining companies, METS businesses and investors. They will explain how a greater emphasis on ESG objectives and sustainability goals is impacting their industries and strategic decision-making, providing a scene-setter for further discussions in our webinar series.

Speakers  

Anita Stanley, Equity Research Analyst - ESG, Macquarie Group

Anita is a Senior Analyst, and has been working at Macquarie since 2006. She has been Macquarie’s Head of ESG Research Australia since July 2018. From 2013 – 2017 Anita worked as an analyst in the Australian Banks research team.

Prior to this, Anita was an analyst in New York covering US small and mid-cap regional banks for Macquarie, as well as a management accountant. Anita holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney (Accounting and Finance), is a CFA Charterholder and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Jenny Agnew, Business Sustainability Manager, Sedgman

Jenny has a passion for continuous improvement and the integration of environmental, social and governance factors into data and risk-based decision making, at both strategic and operational levels. 

She has held various roles in Sedgman over the last 20 years, from process engineering, engineering systems support, HSEQ auditing and management, to supporting corporate strategic risk, sustainability and business strategy development. This breadth of experience across the Sedgman business has supported development of an ESG strategy integrated into the overall business strategy and design and service delivery processes.
